- We are looking for the best small floral display, featuring at least one camellia bloom, in a recycled or reused item from around your home; a decorative piece that can be placed on a table, so don’t use a really large item.
- Your creation can be assembled at home or at school (with permission from your teacher) and then bring it along to the Camellia Show early Saturday morning for judging in the Camellia Hall at 10am.
- You must use at least one camellia flower. If you do not have any camellias, come early to the Show as a small number of camellia blooms will be available for you to use. If you do need to use a flower provided at the Show, it would be wise to have the rest of your display ready so that you can simply place your camellia flower into your display.
- Getting started: choose something from around the house to re-purpose, for example: a hat, shoe, handbag, toy, food containers, teapot or something from Dad's workshop. Use your imagination.
- Remember, do not choose a really large item as you must be able to carry it and it must be able to sit on a table nicely.
- Criteria: the judges will be looking for innovative selection and use of the re-purposed item as well as the artistic appeal of the display.
Remember to collect your display at 3pm on Sunday 21st from the Camellia Hall.
